The area is home to several luxurious hotels and excellent restaurants, making it perfect for those looking for a staycation to enjoy lounging poolside, fine dining seaside, or even sinking your toes in the sand.
Location is everything when it comes to Sunny Isles. You are a short drive from the vibrant nightlife in Miami Beach and family-friendly activities in Hollywood Beach.
Sunny Isles has a relaxing atmosphere with a bit of spice, making it a fun spot and one of my favorite staycation locations in Florida.

4. Daytona Beach
Located about an hour east of Orlando, Daytona Beach is the world's most famous beach for its 23 miles of white sand. It's also one of my favorite beaches on the east coast of Florida. Daytona Beach is a great place in Florida to relax and soak up the sun.
The area offers many activities, including swimming, surfing, parasailing, and jet skiing. Or go shopping in the downtown district or explore the Daytona Beach Boardwalk.
The boardwalk consists of shops, restaurants, and even a carnival area with rides. You can also go to the beach for fun, like bonfires or late-night fishing with friends.
If you want something more unique, you can take a day trip to De Leon Springs State Park, known for its natural springs and scenic views.

I lived in Tampa for four years and had to add Tampa to the list.
Tampa Bay has its moment with a fantastic food scene, plenty of outdoor activities, and unique culture. It is giving most Florida cities a run for their money.

The next stop on the list is Naples. No, not the Naples in Italy. But the Naples in Florida. This serene city is located on the Gulf of Mexico and offers some of the best views in Florida.

Let's take a trip to Spain. No passport is needed. All you need is a staycation to St. Augustine, Florida. Founded in 1565 by Spanish explorers, St. Augustine has been known as the “Oldest City in the United States” for centuries.

23. Lido Key
Lido Key is my new favorite staycation spot in Florida. I've already been several times this year. Located just off the coast of Sarasota, this island is known for its beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets.
Take a long walk on the beach or grab a drink and a bite at the beach bar, which has live music on the weekends.
After you spend the day on the beach, head out to Armand's Circle, where you can explore its many restaurants and shops. Things close early here, though, so if you are looking for nightlife, you can head to downtown Sarasota where you will find plenty of bars and restaurants.

24. St. Pete Beach, Florida
Known for some of the most stunning sunsets in Florida (I know I had my sunset wedding here), St. Petersburg, Florida, is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.
