Would you go to White Castle for Valentine's Day?
It all started as a joke among friends. Over drinks the conversation started as follows:
“Did you know you can make reservations to eat Valentine's Day dinner at White Castle?”
“No. Really”
“Yes”
“Would you?”
“Hmmm. I don't know. I mean White Castle is life but…”
Well fast forward a few hours later and me and my husband were on open table booking a reservation for two at White Castle for Valentine's Day Dinner.
I'm not going to lie. After we booked the reservation I was having second thoughts. I mean wouldn't it be better to go on a trip.. to like Florence or somewhere a bit more romantic. But because we are who we are we stuck to our plans and boy were we in for a surprise.
White Castle for Valentine's Day Dinner
For over 27 years White Castle has been celebrating the holiday by treating guests to a memorable night. Table clothes and waiter service are just the beginning. The memories are what you really come here for.
I had no idea what to expect. I scoured the internet trying to get as much information as I could. But I really had zero expectations.

Our White Castle Valentine's Day Experience
We arrived just in time for our reservation and were greeted by a hostess that escorted us to our table. The entire restaurant was decorated with red and white table clothes, Valentine's Day balloons and even fun props for pictures. At this point, I started to get excited. It was cheesy but no more than what you would find in most restaurants in the city.
Once we got comfortable we were given menus to peruse. The menu features all of the traditional White Castle goodies we all love however there were a few Valentine's inspired desserts. We placed our order with our server and settled in for what would be one of our best Valentine's Day dinner's to date.
While waiting for our burgers we took pictures a the “photo booth” that was set up. It was a lot of fun. I have never laughed so hard in my life. The best part is all the guests were involved. We actually met a couple that has been celebrating Valentine's Day at White Castle for over 10 years. That is pretty awesome.
Soon thereafter the server delivered our food. We opted for a combination of hamburgers and cheeseburgers. As well as fries, onion rings and chicken rings. It was all amazing.
The one thing that we were pleasantly surprised by was the fact that the dinner was BYOB. We walked in and saw couples with bottles of wine. We quickly ran around the corner for a bottle of Rosé. Now we are in business.
After eating dessert and finishing our wine we were in store for the best part. The bill. I know that is not usually the highlight of anyone's night however the fact that we had dinner for two including wine on Valentine's Day no less for under $30. SOLD!!!! That's less than a drink at a rooftop.
And you know I am proud to say I am a cheap date!! Hahaha
Would I do it again? Absolutely. We just booked our reservations for this year and I think this will be a new tradition.
