For years I did not celebrate Valentine's Day because I did not understand the point. I mean if you are not going to give me flowers, chocolate, cook me dinner and treat me like a princess everyday then why even bother at all. I don't necessarily dislike the holiday. I just dislike the fact that it takes a "holiday" for people to show how much they love and care for each other. DH and I treat Valentine's Day like any other day on the calendar. We are the type of people that will do nothing on Valentine's Day but will pop a bottle of expensive champagne on a random Wednesday night for no reason at all. This year we decided we are going to give this Valentine's Day thing a try and spend the day doing Valentinesy (made up word) things. I haven't decided what I am going to wear since it is going to be one of the coldest days of the year but I wanted to share a look that I wore to the office this week that I think would do well for Valentines Day weekend. I am obsessed with this sweater dress from J.O.A. It has just enough red to be Valentinesy but not over the top. It is also super warm and cozy. Great for the bitter cold that the Northeast is getting right now. The boots are Jimmy Choo and I got them for $235 at one of my favorite consignment store on the Upper East Side. What are you wearing for Valentines Day? Would you wear something like this for Valentines Day?
